It finally stopped raining yesterday evening and today it was hot and sticky.  In the morning I went to My Son complex of Hindu Temple and Towers about 40km from Hoi An.  John, Peggy and I went in a hire car (posh new Chevvy) with a guide to explore this World Cultural Heritage site.  It was continuosly developed by the ancient champa people from the 4th centuary to the 13th Centuary and was then lost until rediscoverd by the French in the 19th century.

In the afternoon I walked around Ho An (and ordered a new pair of made to measure sandals).  This large riverside town is full of made to measure shops (dresses, suits and shoes), art galaries and the usual array of restaurants, hotels and cafes.  the stall holders are not as pushy as Hue, but still expect some batering.  The lasrge market (spreading down to the river) has everything for sale in a maze of stalls - all colour and noise with scooters freqently driving up and down the narrow alleyways.  A shoppers paridise.
