Instanbul at last

Finally arrived in Istanbul at 23:00 after leaving the Bulgarian camp site at 06:00. Very bumpy road when we were attempting to have breakfast.

One of our party (Megan) was ill today - hope this isn't a foretaste of things to come.  The Truck however is still at the Turkey border (230 km away) as they would not let it enter, so we spent 8 hrs at the border!  Lucinda is going to try to get it released tomorrow.  We made our way here using local taxis to a coach station near the border, then a luxurious coach to Istanbul coach station, a mini bus to a metro station and local taxis to the hostel.  Had to leave our big rucksacks on the truck as we could only bring our day bags. 

Am in a 30 bed mixed dorm for 3 nights, so the tent will seem very civilised when I get back to it. 

Taxi rides very fast and we are definitely in a different country now. 

Going to explore Istanbul tomorrow.
