Megan’s Graduation Day – congratulations.
We woke up to light rain showers, so breakfast and putting the tents away was a rather wet event. This part of the trip is going to be mainly camping, but we will use hotels/hostels when we return to Georgia and in the “Stans”.
Norman’s phone has been threatened on many occasions (it keeps telling us when we move phone provider), but now he has set it to silent and the only problem is to get him to remember to turn it off!! (05:00 the other morning when it should have been 06:00).
We set off to Kutaisi at 08:00 to look around the town, I went to the Museum, a Church, a huge market (mainly indoor) and then I spent time in an Internet café updating the blogs and photos. There were 3 or 4 officials at the entrance to the Museum, but for 3L entrance they could not change a 10L note – they even struggled with 2 x 2L coins! The Museum was divided into historical areas with an area set aside for religious icons etc. I had to leave my day bag at the entrance and was accompanied around the museum by a uniformed official.
We are heading for Gori which associated with Stalin.
This evening I was on cook duty again with Laura and Tony (it comes around every 8 days or so), so tomorrow I will be on breakfast duty followed by Truck clean duty. Photo is of the Market not anything to do with the cook duty!!
We had a graduation ceremony for Megan at supper which was earlier than usual making plenty of time for the Student night.
Truck Cluedo Update. Norman killed Vanessa using a card. Keiran also killed Martin with a knife. 10 still alive.
