Left Bucharest 7am to drive to Bulgarian border. Approx 2 hr getting through the bordrr, then stopped off at Veliko Tarnovo for lunch. No one could find the fort, but may try again tomorrow. Campsite a few km from Veliko Tarnovo - super site with pool! - see the Picaso album for photos. Most of the group is now in the pool, but some of us are sipping a beer and eating melon in the shade. Tonight is our "Sunday Dinner" and tomorrow morning a full English breakfast.
Just taken my washing to be dealt with in the laundry - wash & dry all for 5 lev (approx £2.50)
Truck Food has been very good, last night it was homemade beef burger with salad. Breakfast is Toast, Tea, Coffee, Fruit (Banana) and Yoghurt.
Entertainment was provided at last nights "Sunday meal"
Update for 6th July. Rain shower first thing (as during last nights Sunday Roast), but then the weather improved - now becoming overcast again, but warm. Spent the morning in Veliko Tarnovo with 5 of the lads where we toured the fortress. Used a local taxi to get to and from Veliko Tarnovo.
Early morning start planned for the morning to Instanbul.
