Nha Trang 13th October

Spent the day at the Vinpearl Resort island which is just off the Vietnam coast.  It is accessed using the world's longest across the sea cable car (3.320m) and is between 40 and 60 m above sea level.

The island has a waterpark, outdoor rides, indoor games as well as an events hall , underwater world, beaches and a purpose built hotel, shopping area and pagoda.

We spent most of the time in the waterpark and as with everything there there was no extra cost and no queues.  The whole cost (inc the cable car and all rides was only about £13).  NB Taxi was a further £2 from the hotel.  The water slides were varied and good and the beach was out of this world.  Enjoy the photos.

On my way back from Vinpearl just before 17:00) the weather changed and the wind increased making the cable car crossing quite interesting with lightening over the sea (cable car was swinging in the wind). By the time I reached the mainland the rain had arrived and I caught a taxi back to the hotel.  The rain seems to have now almost stopped at 20:30 so hopefully tomorrow will be another hot and dry day.

Peggy (from Peggy and "Poor John") was knocked over in Saigon yesterday - she is Ok with just a lump on her head - they had briefly left the group as they did not want to do the beach part of Vietnam.  She has written a blog about her experience. http://leggypeggy.wordpress.com/ see

Do I look like I’ve been hit by the proverbial bus?
