Saigon 19th October

Walked around the city today taking care to cross the road carefully avoiding the 4m motorbikes and scooters which are in the city.

First I went to Independence palace which still has the war rooms and the main rooms are still as they were in the 1960's.

After that I went to the very graphic War remnants Museum which showed some of the attrocities and the after effects of the 25 year war.

Next it was on to a padoda and temple before coming back via the Peoples Committee Hall , the Saigon City Museum (where there was a photshoots of wedding outfits) and finally the Notre Dame Cathedral (which was closed) and the Opera House.

Lots of walking and the last day in Saigon as we leave at 07:15 tomorrow morning for Cambodia.   I will miss Vietnam.
